Individual Precision Foils

Description

Calibration foils or ‘shims’ are the most convenient way of creating a coating thickness standard on the substrate material, surface finish or form. Precision foils are machine elements which are used in the form of semi-finished products to compensate tolerances in assembly and maintenance. These foils – available either rolled or as blanks – can be shaped into the required form with the help of conventional separation tools, thereby producing a technical shim.
