Description
Membrane filters in the form of pleated cartridges are used at filtration processes for food and beverage (such as beer, wine, bottled water and dairy products), pure water or chemical solutions used in manufacturing of electronics devices and semiconductors, process water/industrial water used in pharmaceutical. Membrane microfilters operated in a tangential flow mode are used to separate particles and produce relatively clear broths. Alternatively, they can be used to isolate particles, i.e. virus or plasmid DNA. Tangential flow minimizes the formation of a gel polarization layer on the membrane surface.
